The Valencia region is well known for its coastline, but the region's interior features tiny mountains villages, farms, terraced orchards and natural mountain ecosystems.

Regional crops include olives, citrus fruit, grapes and almonds. Rural tourism is growing in the region with a large variety of rural houses and small hotels available through the Comunitat Valencia website.
