Island Routes - Luxury Adventure Tours
The Island Routes concept originated out of the realisation that there was a comprehensive need in the market to bring the best destination experiences to visitors to the Caribbean. Using their many years of experience and knowledge of the Caribbean, the Island Routes team does all the homework and delivers a comprehensive, one-stop excursion booking option for clients that sets it apart from other tour companies.
Potential tour partners must meet consumer safety criteria and receive high marks in customer satisfaction to be considered by Island Routes. A Certified Partner Program and comprehensive selection process has been developed by Island Routes to ensure these standards. Once a partner is certified, the Island Routes team participates in each excursion and handpicks the tours that will be offered for sale by Island Routes. Clients booking tours through Island Routes can be confident that their excursions are absolutely the best-of-the-best tours in a destination. To ensure that Certified Partners continue to meet Island Routes standards a team of inspectors conduct regular safety audits. Finally, Island Routes considers the guest experience – they listen to their guests and take their clients opinions seriously.
No hotel booking number is required for clients to book an Island Routes excursion the only thing necessary is a guest’s hotel information so they can enjoy transfers that are included to and from their adventure tours. Clients have a choice of booking via the Island Routes secure booking page at www.islandroutes.com or on-island at one of the Island Routes tour desks at participating resorts. Clients of Sandals Resorts International can also pre-book their Island Routes tours directly with Unique Holidays Inc. As an added value, all Island Routes guests receive an Island Routes Passport which is stamped after each excursion. After guests have taken three tours they also receive a gift from Island Routes.
In addition to bringing together the best-of-the-best tours from its Certified Partners, Island Routes is also developing its own unique luxury tours -- not to compete with the existing products in the marketplace but create new and exciting activities that do not already exist in its destinations. These Island Routes branded tours offer top quality versions of activities with distinctive destination twists like paintball competitions in tropical forests and tours of the lush backcountry on an off-road Segway®.
Island Routes will also be launching niche-lines. Romantic Routes like horseback riding and a sunset catamaran sail tours for couples, Family Routes will deliver quality fun and learning time for parents and children on tours like the Bellefield Living History and Culinary Tour, and the Dolphin Encounter. Then there are the Community Routes that will be especially close to the heart of the company. Having the perfect partner in the Sandals Foundation, Island Routes is developing tours that will work with the Foundation projects whereby guests can book tours that allow them to get involved, meet the people and contribute while the proceeds of their experience go to the Foundation. Overall, Island Routes will be an important contributor and leader understanding the importance of environmental and sustainable tourism. The team will educate, doing community outreach, creating mentoring programs and will work to better the overall welfare of their local communities.
Future plans also include an Island Routes Limited Edition line of tours that will take the discerning traveller off the beaten path. Beginning in Jamaica these guided tours will immerse intimate groups in the wonders of the Blue Mountains, the culture and history of Kingston and the lush wetlands of its undiscovered South Coast.
What can you expect from Island Routes as it expands throughout the Caribbean? Luxury adventures that immerse visitors in a true Caribbean experience, showing off the culture, beauty and natural resources that best defines each unique destination: the St. Lucian rainforest, Antigua’s beaches, the diversity of Jamaica – the land of wood and water, 700 islands and the world’s third largest barrier reef in the Bahamas; and many more: Exploration at its best with Island Routes.
