~26 Over-the-Water Suites Set to Debut in 2012~

Sandals, the world's leading Luxury Included® holiday company, is excited to reveal that its plans for the first ever over-the-water suites in St Lucia are on schedule to begin construction early 2011 and welcome guests in 2012 at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort. In addition to the newly opened, all-butler serviced Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, Bahamas, the over-the-water suites will help further cement Sandals Resorts’ commitment to bringing guests the next level of the Luxury Included® holiday experience.

Sure to be a sensation, the 26 brand new over-the-water suites will be available to guests in three luxurious categories, and are primed to turn an already extraordinary suite concept into a magical environment.

To further showcase the natural beauty of the Caribbean, the suites will feature see-through glass floors offering views into the crystal clear waters below, over-the-water hammocks, outdoor showers and Jacuzzis, and lit water for stunning night-time viewing. Offering the ultimate in luxury and privacy, all the over-the-water suites will include full butler service, courtesy of Sandals Resorts’ exclusive partnership with the Guild of Professional English Butlers, so guests will also enjoy the highest level of service such as personalised minibars and surprise candlelit dinners on the deck in the evening.

The suites have been designed with the environment in mind, being made of natural woods treated only with products that will not be harmful should they leak into the ocean. They are all part of the Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort’s new Greek Village, which will feature a total of 200 suites also including Rondovals, swim-up river suites and one-bed plunge pool suites.
