  1. Can I confirm my wedding without booking my accommodation stay?
    • No. We need to have your room reservation showing in our system as we need to attach your wedding and room reservations.
  2. Is my wedding totally free?
    • Weddings are complimentary if staying in a Concierge of Butler Suite. Otherwise Government and resort admin fees are payable when requesting the wedding date and time. Fees vary from island to island.
  3. Can I pre-book my bridal hair?
    • We highly recommend that the bridal hair, spa treatments, additional photography and any other optional extras are pre-booked and paid for prior to arrival. Prices are subject to change without prior notification so by pre-ordering you are freezing the price. All optional extras can be paid for at the time of ordering on a Visa/ Mastercard or Amex.

  1. What time of day can we marry?
    • Weddings are performed between 11am and 4pm. The Caribbean Sunset Wedding is reserved for 5pm or 5.30pm depending on the time of year. Renewal of Vow ceremonies are typically scheduled for 9am and 10am.
  2. Can I marry on a Sunday?
    • Jamaica is the only island that offers ceremonies on a Sunday. They usually take place in the afternoon. This is due to our in-resort Ministers’ Parish commitments.
  3. Can I have a sunset wedding ceremony?
    • Only if the Preston Bailey Caribbean Sunset package or Sea Mist package is purchased prior to arrival in resort.

    • 5pm or 5.30pm depending on the time of year.
  5. What wedding sites are available?
    • Most of our resorts offer beach, garden and a gazebo location. The location is the couples’ choice and is chosen at the weddings interview once in resort.
  6. What flavour wedding cakes are available?
    • You have a choice of Vanilla, Chocolate, or Caribbean fruit. This will be discussed and chosen at your weddings interview in resort.
  7. Can we bring our own wedding music?
    • We provide a limited selection of music; however you are more than welcome to being your own CDs.
  8. When do we meet our Wedding Consultant?
    • You will receive a letter from the Wedding Consultant during check-in informing you of your interview time with your in resort consultant, which typically takes place within the first two days of arrival within resort.
  9. What do we do after our ceremony?
    • Included in the WeddingMoon package is a half hour cocktail reception. After this you can: - Add a Private Wedding Reception if your bridal party is 10 or more persons - Ask your in resort Wedding Coordinator to make a dinner reservation in one of the resort restaurants - Book a private candlelit dinner which can be taken on the beach, in a gazebo or in your room

  1. What is the best way to travel with a wedding dress?
    • Any arrangement of transportation of a wedding dress should be discussed directly with your airline carrier. The Dessy Group has designed lightweight wedding dresses perfect for travel exclusively for Sandals.
  2. Does the resort offer a steaming or pressing service for the wedding dress?
    • There are off property services that will handle the steaming of the dress. Prices are determined by the size, detail and material of the dress.
  3. Can we be married in our swimsuits on the beach?
    • While your wedding attire is entirely your decision, swimsuits & beachwear are not considered acceptable wedding day attire by marriage officers who perform our marriage ceremonies.
  4. Do you offer Bridal Dress/Suit rentals at your resorts?
    • We do not offer rentals on property; however some resorts have contact information for local formalwear providers. Keep in mind, you are travelling to a resort with Caribbean climates and may want to consider a lightweight alternative for your groom.

  1. Is the wedding a legal marriage, recognized in the UK?
    • Yes, the marriage is a legally binding and registered upon the island you choose to marry upon.
  2. When will I receive my marriage certificate?
    • Resorts in Jamaica and Turks & Caicos will post the certificate to your home address via Royal Mail Special delivery 8 – 10 weeks after your wedding date. In St Lucia, Antigua and Bahamas you will leave resort with the certificate in your hand.
  3. Why must the bride and groom provide details of their occupations?
    • Occupations are required in order to process the marriage license. They will be stated on the marriage certificate.
  4. Do we need to hand-carry our documents to the resort?
    • Yes. Please hand-carry documents when travelling to any of our resorts.
